How to take care of your jewellery?
We believe that jewellery is timeless, hence, it is important to take good care of it and keep it looking beautiful and pristine. Follow these guidelines to make sure that your jewellery remains your best friend for years to come:
-
Storage:
Store each piece of jewelry separately to prevent scratches and tangling. Consider using soft pouches, jewelry boxes with compartments, or lined jewelry organizers. Keep jewelry away from sunlight and moisture, as exposure to these elements can cause tarnishing and discoloration.
-
Cleaning
Regularly clean your jewelry to remove dirt, oils, and lotions that can accumulate on its surface. Use a mild soap and water solution, and gently scrub with a soft brush or cloth. Be cautious with porous gemstones and pearls, as they may be damaged by excessive moisture. Different types of jewellery require different cleaning methods.
a. Diamond and Gemstones
Soak these in a mixture of lukewarm water and mild soap. Use a soft brush to scrub before running it under warm water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
b. Gold
Mix mild dish soap with warm water and soak your piece in it for 10-15 minutes, Use a soft brush to scrub and then rinse it thoroughly and dab it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
c. Silver
Cleaning silver can be tricky, so make sure you get the silver cleaner available in the market to clean your silver pieces. It is always advisable to bring us your silver pieces for polishing and cleaning.
-
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
Do not use any harsh chemicals, perfumes, or hairsprays directly on the jewellery.Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, or using household cleaners, as harsh chemicals can damage metals and gemstones. Chemicals like chlorine and bleach can particularly affect the appearance of metals and weaken their structure over time.
-
Regular Inspections:
Inspect your jewellery regularly for any loose stones, wear and tear, or damage. If you see anything, bring it to us or a nearby jeweller to get it fixed.
-
Handle with Care:
Avoid exposing jewelry to sudden impacts, as this can cause gemstones to chip or crack and metals to bend. When handling delicate pieces, hold them by the metal parts rather than the gemstones or delicate elements.
